China's first national image film is expected to be released in mid-November.
An official from Clever Lion Advertising, the agency responsible for the filming and production of China's first national image film, confirmed the news on Oct. 20.
The official said that related officials from the State Council Information Office will go to the United States to discuss the details of the broadcasting of China's national image film on various major television stations. However, the specific schedule has not yet been determined.
The official also said that currently, the filming of China's national image film has been completed and post-production is in full swing. As it is a film of China's image, every detail must be handled very carefully and properly.
The filming of China's national image film series started in July 2010. The planning and production team composed of nearly 100 members traveled to a number of geographical locations in China to produce a 15-minute film and 30-second commercials.
The 30-second commercials titled "Figures" will interpret China's image with a focus on ordinary Chinese people. More than 50 famous figures from the world of business, the performing arts and the academic circle, such as Yuan Longping, Li Ka-shing, Wu Jinglian, Yao Ming, Wu Yusen and Yang Liwei, will appear in the film. The film will be broadcast worldwide through media outlets, such as the BBC and CNN.
