According to the announcement No.74, 2010 of the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China, a standard table concerning newly-added duty-free imported commodities from Hong Kong as place of origin was formulated, based on the relevant agreements reached between the Mainland of China and Hong Kong and Macao,
The six kinds of newly-added foods were as follows: packed salad vegetables, cartooned jack-fruits, sausages, canned foie gras, dough (eggs contained) and wines. One thing should be pointed out is that the place of origin must be Hong Kong, namely, all processes --- material-processing, production, sterilization and package must be completed in Hong Kong.
Insiders of the wine industry said that given to the fact that most wines sold in China inland market were imported from such countries or regions as France, Italy, Australia and so on at present, and comparatively speaking, wines made in Hong Kong take a small account. Consequently, such action would not make a great impact on the inland market.
