30 Chateaus of Character to be built in Penglai

It was reported that travelers to Penglai would enjoy not only Penglai Pavilion, but also more choices such as “mountain, sea, city, pavilion, wine” during the Twelfth Five-year Plan.
Within Penglai’s Five-year Plan, wine industry will prioritize the building of 30 characteristic chateaus, with the aim of building itself into the largest vintage chateau group in the nation.
Penglai in the present time has become the hotspot for wineries from both home and abroad to invest. During the Twelfth Five-year Plan, Penglai will build a Wine Tour Development Zone incorporating wine chateaus, wine manufacturing, grape ecological tour into one by relying on the vineyards and wineries along both sides of the National Trunk Highway Line 206. By the year of 2015, it is predicted that there will be 100 wine-making companies, being able to produce 250,000 tons of wines, among which over 50 percent are high-quality ones with a sales revenue of 6 billion.
