East-China Wine Activated the Internet of Things Base

East-China Wine Company held the Internet of things Base launching ceremony at Chateau Huadong-Parry Wine on January 22, 2011. This was the first demonstration project of the Internet of things in the field of Qingdao food and drink industry.
According to Liu Hongmei, general manager of Qingdao Huadong Winery Co. Ltd., intelligent video security equipment with RFID technology will be applied to the demonstration base of the company. By that time, each bottle of high-quality Huadong wine will be labeled electronically with GUID, so that whole-journey monitoring of the quality safety can be achieved; therefore, the quality of each wine can be guaranteed. In addition, such information as place of origin, variety, date of harvest, date of production, field management, disease prevention and control and so on and so forth can be retrieved at any time. What’s more, detection information and warning information can be distributed via the platform; thus, efficient and timely guarantee can be provided as far as quality and safety are concerned. As a result, consumers can get a thorough understanding of each bottle of wine by scanning the labels with the help of terminal equipments. The information includes year of production, growing conditions of the grapes, brewing information. Consequently, it is easier for customers to discriminate the truth from the false, which can fully reflect the utmost honest quality promise to the consumers made by Huadong. Thus, we can naturally come to the conclusion that the degree of brand recognition and influences of Huadong wines will be improved.
