Ratskeller out to Conquer Chinese Market

The Bremer Ratskeller restaurant in Bremen plans to score points for German wine on the Chinese market.
As reported by the Weser-Kurier newspaper, Karl-Josef Kroetz, Cellarmaster of the Ratskeller in Bremen, plans to convince the Chines market of German wines. An employee is to fly to China accompanied by 8.000 bottles of wine from various growing regions, to convince buyers of four and five star hotels of the high quality of Riesling and other varieties from Germany. According to the Bremen newspaper, the project is being supported by the Melchers group in northern Germany. The objective of the project, which is to last for at least seven months, is to achieve a significant increase in the market share of German wines in China.
