Foppiano Vineyards, located in the famed Russian River Valley in northern Sonoma County, today announced that Taylor Eason, respected wine educator and writer, has joined their team as Vice President of Marketing. As the newest member of the management team, Taylor brings tremendous wine expertise and consumer branding knowledge to Foppiano during a pivotal time in the winery’s growth. The winery also announced that Dennis Luz has joined Foppiano as Assistant Winemaker.

“World class wine brands are built around exceptional vineyards and talented people,” said Todd Arterburn, President of Foppiano Vineyards. “With Taylor on board building effective marketing programs and Dennis enhancing our winemaking team, we are well on our way to reaching that goal.”

Originally from Atlanta, Taylor earned her undergraduate degree in English/French Literature from Colgate University. After completing culinary school in Europe, she moved to Tampa, Florida to work in hospitality and achieve her MBA in Marketing. She served as Director of Marketing and Product Development at Creative Loafing Newspapers, specializing in new media, market research and event branding strategies. In addition to her remarkable marketing experience, Taylor is an internationally syndicated wine columnist and a wine educator on www.TaylorEason.com. With a passion for demystifying wine, she plans to continue her observations and education via her website. “I’m really excited to be a part of the Foppiano family,” said Taylor Eason. “I’ve admired their wines for years and to be able to use my varied skill set to create Foppiano 2.0 is an honor.” Taylor now resides in Sonoma County, California with her husband, Scott.

As Sonoma County’s oldest family-owned winery, the 115-year history of Foppiano Vineyards confirms that through determination, tradition can be maintained and nurtured. Winemaker Natalie West works closely with fifth generation vineyard manager Paul Foppiano to create an estate vineyard with respect for the land and for the classic grape varieties that thrive in the Russian River Valley. Natalie’s estate wines include a Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and their celebrated Petite Sirah, the flagship wine for Foppiano Vineyards. The winery tasting room resides in the original Foppiano homestead and is conveniently located just south of Healdsburg on Old Redwood Highway. Visitors can take a self-guided tour of their 160-acre estate vineyard while enjoying a taste of their wines, including library vintages of their acclaimed Petite Sirah.
