Our white wines win in Sydney

Marlborough white wines put in a good show at the Sydney International Wine Competition 2011.

Nautilus Cuvee Brut NV, made by Clive Jones, won the sparkling wine trophy.

Judging panel chairman Kym Milne said it was the first time in his memory that the top two sparkling wines were not French.

Stanley Estates Intrepid Sauvignon Blanc 2010 won best sauvignon blanc. Lawson's Dry Hills Riesling 2008 won best aromatic wine, and best white table table wine. Pebble Row Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2010 won best value dry white table wine.
