China accounts for 4 percent of Chile Wine Exports

Exports of fine Chilean wines increased 7.4 per cent to 55.6 million liters this year in Jan-Feb compared to the same period last year, according to the figures released by the Chilean Office of Agricultural Research and Policy, Odepa.
 
According to the report released on Monday by Opeda, there was a 13 percent jump in value over the first two months of this year to $181.8 million compared to the same period last year. The average price of Chilean wines with guarantee of origin and quality was reportedly $3.27 per liter during the period, 5.1 percent more than in the same period last year.
The leading markets for these wines during the period were UK (15.8 percent), USA (15 percent), Netherlands (5.9 percent), Japan (5.9 percent), Canada (5.5 percent), Brazil (4.9 percent), China (4 percent), Russia (3.9 percent), Germany (3.4 percent) and Denmark (3.3 percent).
