A third printing of the award-winning Marlborough on the Menu by Jan Bilton and Belinda Jackson has just arrived in Blenheim.
In 2010 this popular publication showcasing Marlborough's distinctive fare achieved international recognition, receiving the Le Cordon Bleu World Food Media Award for Best Food and Wine Guide.
As a result of the Christchurch earthquake the latest shipment of books from Hong Kong was delayed at Lyttelton.
Meanwhile, Blenheim-based publishers Jan Bilton and Michael Ryan were getting orders they could not fulfil.
The initial print run of 3000 copies of Marlborough on the Menu sold out in six months. A second printing of 2000 copies was released in 2009.
Showcasing the gourmet food and world-class wines of Marlborough, the $20 book has been a great success locally and throughout the country. In addition, orders have been received from overseas.
"Winning the international Le Cordon Bleu award has definitely helped overseas sales. It's proving to be an excellent promotional vehicle for the region," Jan said.
Marlborough on the Menu is available from bookstores, Springlands Post Shop, tourist oriented stores and participating wineries.
