Marks & Spencer launches new Italian range
The revamped range introduces Southern Italian whites to M&S customers, including wines from the volcanic Campania region.
Among the new whites are Marks & Spencer 2010 Cori DOC (£5.49), Marks & Spencer 2010 Vermentino IGT Lazio (£6.99), and Marks & Spencer Fiano Sannio DOC (£7.99).
Meanwhile the new reds include 2008 Villa Magna Primitivo di Manduria (£9.99), Marks & Spencer 2009 Chianti DOCG (£6.99), made from 100% Sangiovese, 2007 Castello della Paneretta Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva (£12.99), and 2008 Renato Ratti Nebbiolo (£12.99), which is partly aged in large Slovenian oak barrels.
As previously reported by the drinks business, the new wines will feature in the store’s “Dine In for two for £10” promotion, encouraging consumers to match Italian wine with food.
