Boise, Idaho -- Idaho is one step closer to changing its liquor store hours.
Lawmakers in the Senate voted to keep more than two dozen of the Gem State's busiest stores open until 9 p.m. as part of a six-month experiment to boost revenue.
Currently, most stores close at 7 p.m., though some are kept open until 9 p.m. two days a week.
The Idaho Liquor Division estimates the extra hours could translate into an additional $2 million in state revenue.
