Chinese wine industry rebuilt resplendence in 2010 with 30.952 billion yuan

Special correspondent of China Wine News learned from relevant institution that 940 wine companies were entitled production license nationwide, among which 248 were above designated size. Wine-making industries above designated size all over the country completed an annual gross industrial output value of 30.952 billion yuan, a 29.85 percent increase year over year. Shandong, Hebei and Jilin were the first three provinces in terms of industrial output value; while it is ranked Anhui, Guangdong, Xinjiang when it comes to the increasing speed of the new wine-making zones.

In 2010, the wine output nationwide was 10.888 million hectolitres, which was a 12.38 percent rise but a 15.25 percent decrease in terms of speed compared to that of 2009. Shandong ranked first, the followers were Jilin, Henan and Hebei. With regard to the volume of production in the newly developing zones, the ranking list was Ningxia, Fujian and Xinjiang.

2010 enjoyed a great growth in wine import and export. China exported 39.332 thousand hectolitres valued at 88.881 million dollars, with a year-to-year growth of 30.16 percent and 159.50 percent respectively.
