Napa-based business Intervine was named “Woman-owned Business of the Year” by Delta Air Lines.

Intervine is an international wine importer and wholesaler serving the travel industry. Founded in 1991, the business specializes in supplying wines of the world to meet the requirements of the domestic and international airline and cruise line industries, a news release said. Colleen May is co-founder and CEO of the business.

The award was presented to Intervine during Delta’s annual Star Awards Ceremony held March 31 in College Park, Ga.

Each year, Delta recognizes small, minority and women-owned businesses that have distinguished themselves through superior operations. According to a news release, Intervine was awarded this year’s honors for its efficient and cost-effective supply chain management as well as its outstanding customer service.

Accepting the award for Intervine was Co-Founder and CEO Colleen May, President Ed Matovcik and co-founder and Executive Director Michael Borck.

“It’s been an honor to work with the great team at Delta over the past two decades and we truly appreciate their commitment to diversity,” May said. “This is an award we will treasure for a very long time.”
