China is No 1 for Bordeaux

China became the world's largest importer of Bordeaux wine in terms of volume and value in 2010, said Allan Sichel, chairman of the Bordeaux Wine Merchants' Association, on Friday.

The nation imported 3,000 hectoliters of the wine in 2010, with a value of 415 million euros ($600 million), up 127 percent year-on-year, according to data from the association.
