Growers seeking financial help
Growing numbers of wine grape growers in South Australia are seeking financial help.
An expected 30 per cent of wine grapes in some regions in the state will be considered unsaleable this year.
Kay Matthias, manager of the Rural Financial Counselling Service of SA, says it's getting huge numbers of new clients and it's getting harder to give them the help they need.
"It's a really difficult situation for them because there really is no financial assistance available to them such as exceptional circumstance," she says.
"There's nothing really that is available first hand, and so that's an issue, certainly for us and certainly for them."
