NBC to highlight California's wine tourism egions Wine Tourism showcased at San Francisco event

San Francisco, CA) April 18, 2011 – NBC Bay Area and Event Marketing Works, LLC has announced a promotional television campaign and event, State of Grapes (www.stateofgrapes.com) a celebration of wine tourism in California. The State of Grapes is a collaborative partnership designed to promote each Wine Tourism region in California and will provide the opportunity to be top-of-mind to Northern and Southern California Wine and Tourism enthusiasts.

“We are very excited about this one-of-a-kind complete showcase of California wines and the wine regions they represent,” enthused event and program producer Grant Raeside of Event Marketing Works. (www.eventmarketingworks.com) “No event at this level has ever highlighted all the major wine regions in California and showcased their destinations and products both in an event setting and on broadcast television.”

State of Grapes will include television programs focused on the Wine Tourism regions throughout California with broadcast exposure in the San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, Los Angeles and San Diego markets. In addition, NBC and Event Marketing Works is offering an annual online marketing campaign, social media distribution/Viral Marketing and one of the largest wine tourism events in California, State of Grapes, to be held in San Francisco in March, 2012.

The State of Grapes event held over a weekend, will host wineries, restaurants and hotels as they showcase their wine tourism regions. Thursday night will be the Taste on the Bay Party. Friday will feature the Media Trade Show and Saturday will be the main State of Grapes wine regional tourism event.

State of Grapes will feature all of the California wine regions including Alexander Valley, Mendocino Count, Lake County, Livermore Valley, Sonoma County, Napa County, Marin County, Monterey County, Sierra Foothills, Central Valley, Paso Robles, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Temecula.

The State of Grapes i-phone app will be offered with the entrance fee, and can be used to receive information, discounts on wine, restaurants, lodging and more in all of California’s wine regions. Weekly specials will appear on the State of Grapes website, www.stateofgrapes.com, and i-phone apps.
