Gallo gives $100k to Japan relief

The E.&J. Gallo Winery of Modesto announced Wednesday that it has donated $100,000 to the Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund administered by Miyagi prefecture, the regional government in the area where the March 11 earthquake and tsunami hit.

"This disaster strikes close to home as we have valued relationships with distributors, retailers and consumers who live in Japan and have suffered losses," said Joseph Gallo, the winery's chief executive officer and president.
