Omaha liquor wholesaler raided

The State Patrol and Nebraska Liquor Control Commission raided a southwest Omaha liquor wholesaler on Thursday.

Troopers served a search warrant about 7 a.m. at Sterling Distributing Co. near 96th and J Streets, said Hobert Rupe, executive director of the liquor commission.

Authorities seized documents and computer records from the building, Rupe said.

Citing an ongoing investigation, he declined to comment on the reasons for the search. Investigators remained at the scene until the early afternoon, Rupe said.

Efforts to contact the company late Thursday were unsuccessful.
