From 22 April to 1 May, Grand Hyatt Taipei welcomes guest chef Felix Zhu from 28 HuBin Road Restaurant of Hyatt Regency Hangzhou, who will bring the authentic flavours of Hangzhou cuisine and culinary culture at Shanghai Court. From starters, soups and classic dishes to renowned desserts, Shanghai Court presents the enchantment of Hangzhou delicacies. Don’t miss the chance to experience the passion reflected in Chef Felix’s original Hangzhou cuisine.

Chef Felix worked for a famous restaurant in Hangzhou for more than ten years prior to joining 28 HuBin Road, the renown Chinese restaurant at Hyatt Regency Hangzhou. Those years of hard work and practice gave him solid basic skills, a creative mind, and a meticulous style, with the originality of his dishes gaining praise from many major domestic food critics. In 2006, 28 HuBin Road was recommended as the “Best Dining Experience” by FOOD & WINE magazine, and named one of “The Best 50 Restaurants in China” in 2007 and 2008.

Hangzhou cuisine has a reputation for freshness, tenderness, smoothness and mellow fragrance. It is characterised by the use of fine ingredients, elaborate preparations and varied cooking techniques, all of which vary with the changing seasons.

Chef Felix has made it his principle to create traditional food, mining its essence and focusing on health. In keeping with this concept, he has devoted much time and effort to finding the best way to explore the creative value of food. This is the first time Chef Felix has visited Taiwan and, during the ten-day promotion of Hangzhou cuisine, he wants to showcase more than 30 typical and authentic Hangzhou dishes, among them Beggar’s Chicken, Song Sao Sour and Spicy Fish Soup, West Lake Poached Marble Goby in Sweet Vinegar Sauce, Crispy Yellow Fish, Crispy Bean Curd Rolls with Sweet Chili Sauce and Traditional “Dong Po” Pork.

The menu items of “28 HUBIN ROAD” Hangzhou cuisine promotion vary from NT$150 to NT$1,300; a special chef’s recommended set menu is priced at NT$2,800 per person. All prices are subject to 10% service charge.
