China-Sichuan Week held in India

A week-long celebration aiming at showcasing the fast-developing western Chinese province of Sichuan began with the ''Sichuan Wine and Food festival'' here today.
Ambassador of China to India, Zhang Yan said it is an opportunity to bring the peoples of China and India together.
"Sichuan is famous for its delicious food and giant pandas. In Chinese culture, food is an art and not something that one has when he feels hungry. This week, Indian people will see this province closely through various events here," said Zhang.
''Experience China-Sichuan Week in India'' will be celebrated in the capital till April 30 and it is part of the ''Year of China-India Exchange''.
Earlier, a photo exhibition showcasing the beautiful locations of Sichuan was also inaugurated.
