It’s official. SIAL China 2011 is fully sold-out. Zero space and a specially arranged waiting list left for the on-going enquiries from exhibitor-wannabes.

SIAL China’s new Managing Director, Mr. Bjoern Kempe reveals the secrets of this successful show.

For the past 10 years, SIAL China has been the leading event for the Chinese food market

“SIAL China is now China's largest food & beverage show with more than 60,000 square metres of exhibition area. The excellent economic developments in 2010 and this year have convinced many companies to enter the Chinese food & beverage market.

Mr. Bjoern Kempe

Beside our loyal country pavilions from France, Spain, Unisted Stat, Korea, Ireland, Japan, Poland, Portugal or Taiwan Region we are very happy to welcome new countries and faces at SIAL China: We will have a strong presence from Malaysia, Australia, Brazil, Morocco, Italy, Netherlands, Tunisia, Iran and other parts of the world. In total we will have more than 80 countries and regions represented at SIAL China - a new high record in our 12 years history”, said Kempe.

Commenting on the exhibition’s growth and main reasons for companies to choose SIAL China, he said: “I believe companies have realized the importance to focus their resources on one event per year. Nowadays, there are food shows all over China with different sectors focus. The exhibition market for food & beverage became very competitive and every year there are more and more events. For visitors and exhibitors, the choice is more challenging than ever. However, all of our clients trust that SIAL China has a few exclusive advantages:

  • Excellent sales and distribution channels - 2nd half of the year is usually the common timing for new orders after participating in SIAL China. It is the best timing for buyers to place order for winter season and especially Chinese New Year.
  • High class events for exhibitors & visitors - no other exhibition invests so much into quality to organize professional events in hospitality, retail or wine industries. SIAL China’s events shall be one of the main reasons for visitors to join & to get into business.
  • Professional visitors - Most of the exhibitions are unable to generate a critical mass of professional & qualitative visitors. The show expects more than 35,000 visitors at the upcoming edition - again an all-time record high. More than 15 percent will come from overseas to source for Chinese and other Asian countries products”.

Kempe also commented that with food prices soaring and markets becoming more competitive, the exhibition brings a good opportunity for overseas exhibitors to market their quality products with competitive prices, where there is favourable environment for imported products. Chinese government is also trying to relax the import regulations for food & beverages.

“I would like to invite everyone to visit SIAL China at Shanghai New International Expo Center in Pudong on May 18 ~ 20th, 2011. Seeing is believing. I personally guarantee you a 3-day exhibition full of business, events & education about China's food & beverage industry. Great market opportunities await you in SIAL China. Everyone is invited to register for free at www.sialchina.com”, Kempe concluded.
