Portuguese wine exports to China drops in 2010

Luanda – The export of Alentejo wine from Portugal to Angola dropped from 3.4 million litres in 2009 to 2.3 million in 2010.

The data were supplied, through the internet, by the marketing assistant of viniculture commission of Alentejo region, Maria Amélia Vaz da Silva.

The official told Angop Thursday that in 2010, the exports recorded a decline of 2,6 percent in volume at Alentejo’s main markets, out of European Union, namely Angola, Brazil, US Switzerland, Canada and China.

Maria da Silva would not elaborate the reasons behind the decline of the product.
