Governor expected to sign bill

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Wine still can't be purchased in Tennessee grocery stores, but soon people may be able to order it by mail or over the Internet.

On Wednesday, the House approved a bill that allows wine to be shipped directly to any address in the state. The bill is headed to the governor's desk now.

The state passed a law two years ago that permits direct wine shipments to Tennessee but only to addresses in cities that allow liquor-by-the-drink.

This new law would allow anyone in the state to have their vino shipped right to their door.

The governor is expected to sign it.
