Oregon Wine Services and Storage offers Oregon wineries climate controlled storage for their wines in McMinnville.

Oregon's largest wine storage and shipping company, based in McMinnville, has expanded by buying a new climate-controlled facility in Tualatin.

Oregon Wine Services purchased the 62,000-square-foot building, located within one mile of Interstate 5, for timely and efficient transportation of goods.

"A site close to the freeway allows us to satisfy our growing demand for climate-controlled truck services across the U.S.," said company co-owner Jeff Meader. "It saves us time and fuel costs."

John Niemeyer founded the company in 2001, with Meader joining him the following year.

Between the two locations, Oregon Wine Services will store more than 1 million cases of wine for more than 300 Oregon wineries.
