Howkins book examines Port drinkers

Director of the Royal Tokaji Wine Company and Port expert Ben Howkins has written a new book on the Douro’s famous fortified wine which promises to examine the complex persona of the Port drinker.
Called Real Men Drink Port… and ladies too! the new book, published by Quiller and due to be released in September, has a foreword by Hugh Johnson and cartoons by Oliver Preston.
It will contain historical and contemporary facts and amusing anecdotes compiled by Howkins (leftt), author of Rich, Rare and Red, A guide to Port, and member of the Confreria do Vinho do Porto.
