Ara parnters with negociants for UK distribution

Marlborough's ARA Wines is delighted to announce a partnership with Negociants UK for the UK distribution of its portfolio of premium, single estate wines. Negociants UK is a family owned importer of fine New World wines with a portfolio that has pedigree and personality, making it an ideal partner for Ara.

Christine Pears, CEO of Ara, said, “Negociants UK is a specialist in the distribution of wines from Australia and New Zealand and they have a real understanding of our wines. This, and their experience in all trade channels, is key to helping us further establish the Ara brand in the UK.”

Negociants will work alongside Julie Dawson, Ara’s UK based Business Development Manager, under the agreement which will take effect from the 16th May 2011.

Simon Thorpe MW, Managing Director of Negociants UK, added, “The addition of ARA wines to our portfolio is an exciting development for Negociants UK; the wines are an excellent fit and they will allow us to offer our customers a broader New Zealand offering.”

Trade and press can meet Ara’s new Chief Winemaker, Jeff Clarke, at 2011 London International Wine Fair next week, where he will be presenting Ara’s full portfolio of wines on the New Zealand Winegrowers stand (F20).

The wines will also be available to taste on the Negociants UK stand (O30).
