Preparations are in full swing for this year's Midland's Hawke's Bay Charity Wine Auction.

The annual fundraising event for Cranford Hospice is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.

More than 300 people are expected to attend the auction next month, which also includes a three-course meal.

For the first time in the history of the event, it will be held at Elephant Hill Winery.

Executive Chef Ashley Jones says they're planning a very special event, and they're delighted the anniversary celebrations will be taking place there.
