According to the report, Hong Kong experienced 7.8 percent economic growth in 2010 and is expected to maintain its position as one of the top four markets for U.S. consumer ready food products in 2011, as it continues to be a major buying center and transshipment point for China and Southeast Asia.
Economic growth in Hong Kong is forecasted to be 4.5 percent in 2011. Hong Kong has a population of 7 million and is almost entirely dependent on food imports, which account for 95 percent of its food supply.
