Robert Boyd appointed Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Joseph Phelps Vineyards

Joseph Phelps Vineyards is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert Boyd to the position of Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Boyd will have overall financial responsibility for both of the Phelps family’s wineries: the iconic Joseph Phelps Vineyards in Napa Valley and its Sonoma Coast sibling, Freestone Vineyards. The hiring of Mr. Boyd was a result of the Joseph Phelps management team’s work with wine industry executive search company The Cypress Group to find a replacement for retiring CFO David Lockwood after his many years of dedicated service to the company. “Robert has a wealth of knowledge and hands on experience in the wine industry. We are thrilled he has joined our team,” said Joseph Phelps President, Bill Phelps.

A native of Scotland, Robert Boyd is a Chartered Accountant and a graduate of Strathclyde University in Glasgow. Prior to joining Phelps, Robert was a Vice President of Finance for Jackson Family Enterprises.
