Three men arrested for theft of 500 bottle caps

Three men at Zhangliu village in Fuzhou city, Fujian province, were arrested recently for stealing beer bottle caps.

A store owner surnamed Gao found beer bottle caps were repeatedly disappearing from his warehouse and installed a surveillance camera.

On the morning of April 19, the camera caught two men prizing the caps off beer bottles. Gao called the police who arrested the men, who led them to another. The men said they stole the caps in an attempt to win a 999-yuan ($154) prize.

According to the police, the gang stole more than 500 caps from different stores.
