Dalla Terra™ Winery Direct® becomes national distributor for govino glasses
Dalla Terra™ Winery Direct® has announced that on April 1st, it became the national distributor for licensed buyers for govino (www.govinowine.com) in all states, with the exception of California wineries, where the stylish yet shatterproof glassware is sold direct from the California-based company.
“We think govino is such a great product that we’ve stepped out of what has been our only product—wine—to represent the company. It also gives Dalla Terra Winery Direct the first opportunity for wines sales with new govino accounts. We’ll be targeting new places that have never served wine before because their glassware restrictions, including spas, beach restaurants, resorts, movie theaters, outdoor concert venues, bowling alleys—anywhere that would not normally allow for real glass. govino is a wonderful opportunity for Dalla Terra to diversify our product mix without interfering with our core Italian wine business.
About Dalla Terra™ Winery Direct®
Dalla Terra’s wine portfolio reads like a Who’s Who of some of the most esteemed family-owned wineries in Italy. Each producer has played a major role in the significant strides Italy has made over the last twenty years in improving the quality of its wines. Dalla Terra™ Winery Direct® is changing the nature of the wine importing and distribution business. Founder Brian Larky’s innovative approach to selling wine skips the national importer level in the three-tier distribution system, allowing U.S. distributors to buy directly from the producer. This unique business model offers a more efficient, economical and consumer-friendly way of shipping, distributing and marketing wine—despite a strong Euro that has raised some prices as much as 25%. In spite of these unfavorable exchange rates, Dalla Terra continues to act innovatively to bring both quality and value to American wine consumers. About govino
Necessity is indeed the mother of invention. govino was originally created as a trade tool to help professional salespeople showcase their wines whenever and wherever proper stemware isn't accessible – which as we learned firsthand, is often! Once we began testing the market, we realized there was an even bigger need for govino in the consumer sector, particularly at settings where breakable glass is an issue. After all, how many times have we all had to endure drinking good wine from bad glasses? govino is made from a food-safe, BPA-free polymer, which reflects a wine's color and aromatics much like crystal. It is recyclable (#1), but better yet it is reusable. For more information about govino, go to www.govinowine.com.
