Absolut Vodka has launched the Drinkspiration Home Edition - a comprehensive cocktail application for the iPad that can be downloaded for free from iTunes.

In a continued move to bring innovation and new technology to the spirits category, the tool offers over 3,000 drink ideas, illustrated through colourful imagery and video demonstrations.

The application aims to complement the Drinkspiration iPhone Bar Edition, and has been developed to inspire both the on-trade and consumers to create a wide range of cocktails using a selection of base spirits including vodka, gin, rum, whisky and tequila.

It has six pre-installed Absolut Collections featuring classic drink themes such as Red, Celebrating, Prohibition, Summer, Classics and Pre-Party, where users can a follow step-by-step video guides on mixing cocktails, sharing drinks recipes with friends via Facebook and www.absolutdrinks.co.uk.

Drinkspiration Home Edition can also create a shopping list, with the quantities required, to plan for a party.
