Wine has found its multi-purposes in China. Indispensable as it is in folk customs, it's absolutely a must in weddings, and almost every step in a wedding is related with wine. Xijiu (happy wine, namely, wedding feast) in Chinese even becomes a substitute of wedding, since attending a wedding feast is often referred to as attending a wedding.
