The blaze broke out around midnight at the winery on South Santa Cruze Avenue, according to Stanislaus County Fire Chief Paul Spani. A number of shrink wrapped wine bottles on pallets right outside of the facility were burning when firefighters arrived, Spani said.

The fire quickly grew to two alarms and took almost three hours to completely knock down. Spani said no one was injured in the blaze.

Investigators were working to determine what caused the fire.
