Discover California Wines held in South China
A series of wine-lovers’ activities and commercial activities of “2011 Discover California Wines” were launched in South China from June 2nd to 3rd. On June 2nd, activities for media, merchants and consumers were held in China Hotel in Guangzhou. On the next day, an activity for consumers was held in JW Marriott Shenzhen. It was reported that about 60 wine merchants from California attended the activities.
“The Chinese wine market is full of potential and develops rapidly. In 2010, the wine exported to China reached an amount of 45 million US dollars in value, a 17 percent increase year on year. We expect that Californian wine can continue its success in the Chinese market and we are proud that we are able to provide some help to the Californian wine merchants to take part in the activities.” Linsey Gallagher, international marketing manager of the Wine Institute of California commented.
