Scottish vineyard could produce 70,000 bottles

The owner of a new Scottish vineyard says he hopes to attract nvestors if his initial attempts at winemaking prove successful. 

Food writer Christopher Trotter has planted 100 vines in his arden in Upper Largo, Fife, after taking advice from Ryedale vineyard in Yorkshire.

He says Chateau Largo project will originally involve the reation of up to 1,200 bottles of wine in three years' time. But the property is large enough to sustain 6,000 vines which could produce enough juice for 70,000 bottles.
