Spanish Wine Experience continues its Asian tour and presents the second edition of the Winefuture conference
- All the details of Winefuture 2011, considered the most important forum for debate and discussion within the wine industry, will be revealed in Hong Kong, Singapore, Seoul and Shanghai
- The Spanish Wine Experience courses will be led by Pancho Campo MW, who will officially present the Winefuture conference in these cities
Spanish Wine Experience (SWE), the programme created to promote Spanish wine, continues its Asian Tour today in Hong Kong The sessions, which last two days, aim at raising an awareness of Spanish wines in other countries and finding distributors and importers in the Asian market. At each SWE session, details will be provided of the Winefuture Hong Kong 2011 conference, which will bring together the most important personalities in the world of wine, including critics Robert Parker, Jancis Robinson and Gary Vaynerchuk.
After Taipei, Hong Kong is the next of a number of Asian cities to be visited as part of a tour organised by The Wine Academy alongside the Asia Wine Service & Education Center (AWSEC) with the support of ICEX España. SWE, which has been running for five years, will continue in the following cities: Hong Kong (Jully 19 and 20), Singapore (July 23 and 24), Seoul (July 26) and Shanghai (July 30 and 31). The President of the Wine Academy, Pancho Campo MW, will lead the courses and wine tasting events. Campo will also officially present the second edition of Winefuture Hong Kong providing details on the programme of conferences and wine tasting events which comprise the most significant worldwide forum for discussion and debate in the wine sector.

WineFuture Hong Kong 11 is an event organised by and belonging to The Wine Academy of Spain, and is supported by Madwine and the Asia Wine Service & Education Centre (AWSEC). The event brings together experts from all over the world to analyse issues such as the economic crisis, consumption trends, drops in sales, the environment, labelling, packaging and emerging markets, to name a few. The aim of the event was born during the first edition of Winefuture Rioja’09, and involves the creation of a forum to study and evaluate the challenges faced by the wine sector. The Wine Academy of Spain
The Wine Academy of Spain is a private organisation founded in the year 2003 by Pancho Campo MW, the first Spaniard to achieve the coveted title of Master of Wine. Its main activities include training wine professionals and amateurs; promoting Spanish wine in other countries through the Spanish Wine Experience programme; promoting Spain to the wine tourism sector; analysing the impact of climate change on the industry; and organising study trips to wine areas in association with the University of California Davis in the United States. The Academy has also imparted Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) courses throughout Spain and organised the World Congress on Climate Change and Wine and the Winefuture-Rioja’09 and Vinoble 2010 events.
