Château des Charmes of Canada exploring China wine market

Six months ago, Château des Charmes began exporting to China.

When it comes to finding new customers for its wines, Château des Charmes is looking far and wide, at markets large and small.

The Niagara-on-the-Lake winery recently signed on with distributors in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Alberta, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick for its ice wines, red and white table wines and sparkling wines.

“We’re looking at the smaller markets and seeing as we’re in an ultra-competitive industry, we’re not going to rule out doing business in Manitoba or New Brunswick. Every little bit helps,” said Château president Paul Bosc Jr.

The winery has also become much more active in the U.S. in the last year, adding New York, Texas, and Las Vegas to its sales roster.
