3 Food Events: Clos du Val supper; Epicurean Festival; Ramen Bull
Ramen Bull: Ramen Bull is approaching its last month at Breadbar's West 3rd Street location. For the last few months, the eatery has featured chef Noriyuki Sugie's (of Ironnori) contemporary take on Japan and China's traditional street fare. The series includes all-beef ramen dishes: short rib ramen, oxtail ramen, beef tongue ramen, spicy ramen and corned beef ramen. Crush & Harvest Tasting: Napa Valley Grill celebrates California Wine Month with wine-related events happening at the Westwood restaurant throughout the month of September, including a four-course tasting menu on Sept. 27. The supper, by chef Gillard, will feature wine pairings from Clos du Val Winery, such as a 2008 Carneros Chardonnay and a 2005 District Cabernet Sauvignon. Epicurean Festival: This Sunday, Aug. 28, Sofitel hosts the Los Angeles Epicurean Festival with more than 500 boutique wines, specialty foods -- charcuterie, mushrooms and cheeses, among other gourmet bites -- and mixology and food demonstrations (courtesy of K-Zo, La Cachette and L'Epicerie).
