Gansu Wine Association founded

 

Wine Association of Gansu Province was founded in Lanzhou.

 

According to Wang Rui, Director-General of the Department of Commerce in Gansu, after its foundation, the association is expected to publicize and implement the policies and principles of the government and some departments concerned, in order to have a good commanding of planting, processing and marketing of grapes; hence, it can report to relevant departments the problems and corresponding measures and suggestions; it is also commissioned to make regulations and standards of the industry. In addition, it is responsible for the connection and communication between its members, for technological interchanges, both national and international, investment attractions and product promotion activities. What’s more, it is founded for the introduction and selection of high-quality grapes meant for making wines, as well as the development and publicity of the new technologies and products so as to facilitate the technological progress of wine industry. Last but not least, it shoulders the responsibility of publicizing such knowledge as wine-tasting and drinking, exploration of wine culture and propaganda of Gansu wine brand.
