Now in its fifth year, the highly successful Wine Australia Travel Scholarship is open again this year to students who have completed the relevant Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) courses. Students must have successfully completed the WSET Advanced Certificate or the International Higher Certificate and the Scholarship is open to all students studying in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. The Scholarship program aims to recognise students who display an interest in learning about Australian wine, and to students who will directly benefit from this knowledge in their chosen profession.

The successful Scholarship winner will be awarded an eight day trip to Australia from the 18th March 2012 to explore Australian wine regions and wine styles.

Willa Yang, Manager China, said “There are already some WSET students in China asking us about the travel scholarship this year and I hope they can grab this precious opportunity as much as they can. We are very happy to acknowledge and reward those who are passionate to learn about Australian wine.”

Interested applicants are invited to review the applicant requirements on Wine Australia’s official website: www.wineaustralia.com/china and the application must be received by Wednesday 30th November 2011. The information will also be posted on Wine Australia’s official Weibo (http://weibo.com/1867782707), for wider distribution.

Wine Australia continues its commitment to wine education, through the support of global education providers, ongoing investment in tutored master classes and the delivery of an educational platform “Australia: world class”, available in seven languages, via the internet and on DVD.
