Rémy Martin celebrates Chinese New Year
Rémy Cointreau Global Travel Retail holds major airport promotions to celebrate Chinese holiday

Liquor supplier Rémy Cointreau Global Travel Retail has set up special themed displays at key airports for consumers to celebrate Chinese New Year this month with a purchase of Rémy Martin Fine Champagne Cognac.
Chinese New Year is the most important of the traditional holidays in China and falls on January 23, when it will usher in the Year of the Dragon, one of the most powerful signs in Chinese astrology. Rémy Martin’s emblem is the golden centaur and the supplier has created New Year-themed displays featuring Chinese dragons, red lanterns and a seasonal greeting in Chinese.
The merchandising window, pillar and red-and-gold gondola displays have been rolled out at several hub airports in Europe and the Middle East that handle high numbers of Asian passengers, including Amsterdam Schiphol, Dubai International terminal three (pictured), London Heathrow T3 and T5 and Paris CDG T1 and T2F2.
Rémy Cointreau Global Travel Retail marketing and business development director Matthew Hodges said: “Rémy Martin is consumed by a wide range of consumers on a variety of social occasions. These striking Chinese New Year activations give travellers a chance to taste both Rémy Martin XO Excellence, neat or on the rocks, and Rémy Martin VSOP straight or with mixers.”
The remainder of the supplier’s travel-retail range is also on display and includes Rémy Martin VSOP Premier Cru, XO Premier Cru, Centaure de Diamant and Louis XIII.
