The Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux (UGC) will be making a return visit to the London International Wine Fair with an exclusive tasting showing Grands Crus wines from the 2008 vintage on Tuesday 22 May from 11am to 4pm.
Over sixty five members of this illustrious group representing some of the most prestigious names in Margaux, St Julien, Pauillac, St Estèphe, Listrac, Moulis, the Médoc, Haut- Médoc, Graves, Pessac-Léognan, Saint-Emilion, Pomerol, Sauternes and Barsac will fly from Bordeaux to participate at this special event on the opening day of the Fair.
Speaking on behalf of the UGC, Sylvie Cazes, President, said, “We are looking forward to meeting visitors from every sector of the wine industry at our second LIWF event and renewing contact with our traditional customer base. This year’s tasting will offer members of the trade an opportunity to revisit the 2008 vintage which was first presented in London at our annual tasting at the Royal Opera House in 2010.”
Invitations to this tasting will be dispatched by LIWF organisers, Brintex, targeting sommeliers, importers, multiple specialists, multiple grocers, independent retailers and the press. It will also widen its reach to European buyers.
