Portuguese wine exported to China grows by 91.7% in 2011

According to the reports from Portugal, the country has exported to China 8.23 million Euro of wine in 2011, for the second year in sequence rising almost double—91.7%. These figures do not include the famous wine regions: Porto and Madeira.

By now China has become the fifth biggest export market. And insiders of the field also say that with the expansion of China wine market, portuguese wines exported to China will further soar.


Portuguese vintners attach great importance to the Chinese market. Sogrape, Enport and Enoport, the three enterprises have set offices in Shanghai.
