Two of Mudgee’s well known food and wine advocates will soon join forces to ignite a fabulous evening of food, Zinfandel and music at Roth's Wine Bar on the 2nd of June.

Lowe Wines’ winemaker and owner, David Lowe, will unite with Roth's master chef, Adam Hockley, to host a memorable five-course evening matching Adam’s culinary skills with local and international Zinfandels.

David, who will host the evening at Roth’s, is one of Australia’s leading advocates of Zinfandel, with his current 2009 Lowe Zinfandel already having been awarded three trophies, including the ‘Best Organic Wine of the Show’ at the 2011 Australia/New Zealand Wine Show.

In order to capture the full spectrum of mature Zinfandel, David Lowe will be opening a range of older, limited museum release Lowe Zinfandels including the 2004 Lowe Zinfandel, a gold medal winning wine from the London International Wine Challenge.

Guests will be able to compare these Australia wines with renowned Primitivos from Italy and Zinfandel’s from Ravenswood in California.

“We will be tasting some of the best Zinfandels in the world,” explained David Lowe. “This is will be quite an evening, offering guests a very rare opportunity.”

Roth's chef, Adam Hockley, says he can't wait to match his dishes with the Zinfandels. "I’m looking forward to working with Zinfandel because it is a beautifully complex wine with a structure that complements the hearty lamb and quail dishes we’ll be serving on the night.”

Guests will be taken on this delicious odyssey of food, wine and music for $130 per head. It will be an experience to remember.
