Capannelle: 50/50 rustic elegance in the heart of Gaiole, Chianti

By Liz Palmer  2013-3-25 10:38:54
Tuscany became one of those rare, iconic destinations tourists return to again…. and again.

Most recently, a new generation of luxury hotels has arrived in the region, just in time to keep the experience fresh and exciting.  One of them is Capannelle.  A beautiful XVI century farmhouse with rustic charm, surrounded by vineyards, olive, and cypress trees, surrounded by a landscape that could grace any postcard.

This five-bedroom luxury wine resort is perched on the crest of a hill, in the heart of Gaiole, Chianti hillside, and approximately 95 kms from Florence.

The grounds of Capanelle have been designed to take advantage of its setting. The infinity pool – not to be missed, is just below the house off the side of the terrace and here you will find some of the most incredible views of the region.
Some of the best places to taste Capannelle’s wine offerings and sample regional dishes is on their spacious terrace or in one of their many well-manicured gardens.

The farmhouse has five bedrooms complete with en suite bathrooms and modern amenities. All suites are decorated in a simple, rustic fashion - typical of a Tuscan farmhouse.

The suites are situated on two floors of the Capannelle villa: one spacious room on the ground floor and four rooms on the second floor, including one suite with a spectacular view of the town of Gaiole.

There is no reception desk - guests are greeted in the living room.

There seems to be a seamless flow between the living area, kitchen and dining areas, together with high ceilings, give a real sense of space - It most appealing for families or groups.

Capannelle offers sublime creature comforts with the highest level of accommodations and service.
