Export of wines from Bulgaria to China will boost in the near future. The reason for it is the fact that CJ International Group, wordlwide group of companies involved in International Immigrant Investor Programs, has set foot in Bulgaria. The Chinese company is planning to invest in the export of wines to the largest and most thriving Asian economy, said Dimiter Vladikov of the Bulgarian Investment Agency.

The company has already opened an office in Sofia, the first rep office of the company in Europe.
In the first nine months of 2012 the volume of wine export from Bulgaria to China amounted to 337,000 liters, which ranks China the tenth largest importer of the Bulgarian wines. Russian tops the list with 14,5 million liters of imported Bulgarian wine.

While export to Russia is flagging, China has scored a growth of 76 percent. On the whole the trade between Bulgaria and China is in the upswing. “Bilateral cooperation is strengthening and the traditionally friendly relations between our countries will deepen,” Ambassador of China to Bulgaria HE Guo Yedjou underscored. In January-November 2012 commodity turnover between China and Bulgaria grew by 48.4 percent – up to 1,268 billion euro. Bulgarian export to China boosted by 122.9 percent.
