French Domaine de la Romanée-Conti signed a cooperation agreement yesterday with Xiamen Fengde Importe& Export Trade Co., Ltd.

 

According to the deal, Domaine de la Romanée-Conti will invest 1,000,000 euros and hold a 40% stake.

 

In fact, Xiamen Fengde became national agents of Romanee Wines last year, and since then start to market the products through channels of restaurants and bars, focuing on major cities of Fuzhou and Xiamen.

 

Wu yonglei, general manager of Fengde, said although the sales of Romanee wines one year was merely 10 millionRMB, their profits are striking. Lured by the high margin, Christine, CEO of the French domaine , decided to furthur cooperate with the Xiamen company.

 

Wu yonglei said that they would open 3-5 franchise stores in Xiamen and totally 50 in Fujian . At the same time, they will open 300 altogegher in China. “We will build Romanee into a leading imported wine brand in China. “Wu said.

 

Located in Lyon, Domaine de la Romanée-Conti produces nearly 200 million bottles of wines with  sales exceeding 700 million euros.
