 Over twenty-five renowned local gourmets will share a diverse range
of dining experiences, including Mr William Mark, Mr Eric Wong,
Ms Doreen Leung, Mr Kam Kinsen, Mr Benny Li, Mr Chua Lam, Mr
Lau Kin Wai, Mr Craig Au Yeung, Mr Walter Kei, Mr Leung Ka
Kuen, Mr Yeung Koon Yat, Mr Chow Chung, Mr Jacky Yu, Mr
Leung Man To, Mr Lau Chi Sun, Mr Wai Kee Shun, Mr Nelson
Chow, Mr Mak Wah Cheung, Mr Wilson Yeung, Mr Ricky Cheung,
renowned chef Mr Alvin Leung, Mr Richard Ekkebus, Mr Vincent
Thierry, Mr Lau Kam Kai, Mr Lee Man Sing and Mr Mok Kin On.
o Wine connoisseurs will introduce wine pairings for Chinese dishes.
o Interactive features include dining itinerary planner to facilitate guests’
arrangement of their dining schedule
o A series of downloadable gastronomic guidebooks, including “Hong
Kong Tram Guide”, “Dining with Stars”, “Hong Kong Local
Delicacies Guide”.
3. New mega event and other local wine and dine events (30 October – 8
November)
• Between 30 October to 1 November this year, a new mega event, namely the
“Hong Kong Wine and Dine Festival”, will be held on the West Kowloon
Waterfront Promenade. Three major elements of the event include wine, food
and entertainment.
• From 6-8 November 2009, Wine and Dine Carnivals will be hosted in
collaboration with famous dining districts like Lan Kwai Fong and SoHo.
• Introduce various local wine and dine events to visitors, such as the Hong
Kong International Wine and Spirits Fair 2009, which will be organised by
the Hong Kong Trade Development Council from 4 - 6 November 2009.
4. The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) will also inject elements of food
and wine into its mega events and promotional activities throughout the
year.
Overseas Publicity and Promotion
• The HKTB will leverage on PR activities, consumer promotions as well as
co-operate with industry partners to promote the “Hong Kong Food and Wine
Year” in long-haul and short-haul markets, as well as in Mainland China.

1. Hong Kong Celebrity Chef Tours
o Invite Michelin chefs and celebrities of the catering industry in Hong
Kong to different source markets, such as the UK, the US, the
Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia and Japan, publicising and
