Superlots of Burgundy
Leading the sale is a rare selection of red Burgundy from Domaine de la Romanée-Conti.  Taking the center-stage is a superlot of 132 bottles of DRC La Tache from the best 11 vintages between 1985 and 2003, all in original wooden cases and in mint condition (estimate: HK$1,600,000-2,400,000/ US$200,000-300,000, illustrated left).
Another superlot comprises 21 magnums of vintage 2003 from all the great vineyards of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, including Échezeaux, Grands Échezeaux, La Tache, Richebourg, Romanée Conti, Romanée St. Vivant and Montrachet.  All the wines are still in their original banded wooden cases and expected to appeal greatly to Asian collectors (estimate: HK$720,000-960,000/ US$90,000-120,000).
 
Vintage Champagne from the Robert Rosania Collection
Acker Merrall & Condit is proud to present a superb selection of the world's finest and rarest Champagne dating back to 1914 from the legendary collection of Robert Rosania, who has been hailed as the world's greatest collector of Champagne.  Robert Rosania is a 38-year-old real estate investor, who has brought awareness of vintage Champagne to a whole new level in America.  Through his relentless opening of aged Champagne at public and private events, he has educated many consumers that Champagne can age as well as the greatest of red wines and has in the process, become a true ambassador for the region.  
The sale spotlights a small and focused selection of over 1,000 bottles from his collection of nearly 2,000 cases of vintage Champagne.  Expected to realize in excess of HK$7 million (US$1 million), this magnificent collection provides a fascinating insight into the history of Champagne over nearly a century and is destined to draw enormous interest from champagne collectors worldwide.
Among the ancient treasures are a bottle of Pol Roger Vintage Champagne 1914 (estimate: HK$72,000-112,000/ US$9,000-14,000, illustrated right) and a bottle of Moët & Chandon Vintage Champagne 1914 (estimate: HK$48,000-64,000/ US$6,000-8,000). A Jeroboam of Bollinger Vintage Champagne 1921 (estimate: HK$120,000-160,000/ US$15,000-20,000) is set to whet the appetite of the connoisseurs. 
Krug Collection Vintage Champagne, one of the most sought-after and legendary Champagnes ever to have been produced, is well represented including the desirable 1928 vintage (estimate: HK$96,000-120,000/ US$12,000-15,000 per bottle) and 1938 vintage (estimate: HK$80,000-112,000/ US$10,000-14,000 per bottle).  Also featured is a special selection of the highly coveted Roederer Cristal, including two bottles of the Roederer  Vintage Champagne 1966 (estimate: HK$24,000-32,000/ US$3,000-4,000).
